Today Microsoft announced they are ceasing development on Fable Legends and they are discussing with employees a proposed closure of the UK Lionhead Studios.
Fable Legends was announced in August of 2013 and was expected to be released for the 2015 holiday season.
The game was supposed to play in a similar fashion to Evolve where 4 ‘hero’ players take on one ‘villain’ player.
It was also planned to run cross platform between the Xbox One and Windows 10.
There is not much information as to what delays they were experiencing, but it seems the Windows 10 Store exclusive PC side of things may have been a wrench in the works.
More from microsoft:
It appears Nintendo is pushing hard to sell the “NEW” 3ds systems with their most recent batch of eShop games
Pilotwings, Super Mario World and F-Zero will be available today but the SNES downloads are only for the NEW 3DS or NEW 3DSXL.
Meaning for some reason they won’t play on the 2ds or 3ds hardware.
In addition to those games Super Mario Kart, Earthbound, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2, and Legend of Zelda A Link to the past.
But why are these games only available for the “NEW” system? Many of these titles were playable on old hardware such as the GameBoy Advance.
More information is available in the Nintendo Direct video.
Sony has made a couple big changes recently for two of its systems.
The original PSP system’s Playstaton Store access will end March 31st.
Apparently content can still be purchased via the PlayStation Store website and in game content will still work.
The PlayStation TV will also no longer be shipped in Japan. Sony stopped shipping the Playstation TV in the USA last year.
Microsoft announced recently that Forza 6: Apex, a curated version of forza 6, would be coming to windows 10.
Apparently capable of 60fps 4k resolutions, something consoles can’t even image currently, it will be released as a free-to-play title.
In reality it appears to be a pay-to-win setup where you either dump an eternity into earning coins or just pony up cash to buy content unlocks.
I am both excited for Forza to finally be released on a system that can show it off better whilst disappointed in the marketing aspect and “Windows 10 only” release.

Played a good chunk of this later release in the NES library.
This game came out on the SNES as well, both in 1994.
Its a fun manic puzzle game with a solid progression of difficulty.
It has 2 main modes a timer mode, a VS mode and more.
A decent game to take a look at, but i still prefer DR Mario.
Rad Racer is the classic NES racing game from Square
This game was a heck of a challenge when it came to completing it.
If you don’t know to hold A when pressing start you have to start the game over, which doesn’t make progression through 8 stages with 4 segments each easy.
The challenge definitely steps up in later levels as cars just swerve allover the road making it very hard to get past them and complete the level in a timely manner.
The final stage was the hardest with one mistake meaning you could not make the checkpoint most of the time.
As usual, click the title screen to be taken to a YouTube playlist of the stream.
Here is a interesting one, the Call of Cthulhu game that hasn’t been talked about much lately might actually be coming soon.
It appears Call of Cthulhu will be a psychological horror RPG-Investigation game involving the use of stealth, according to Cyanide Software.
Personally I am hoping this plays like a survival horror.
There is no solid release date, they have only said it will be on consoles and PC in 2017.

Running With Scissors is releasing a remake of the original Postal game this Spring. It will be on Steam for windows, MAC and SteamOS in spring and PS4 later this year.
This remake will include new graphics and a new “Rampage Mode” that sounds like a GTA-esque Kill Frenzy for points.
From the looks of the screenshots the game will have updated graphics but maintain the atmosphere, which is something this game would really benefits from.
You can check out the teaser on Running With Scissors’ website
CAVE Interactive Co., Ltd. Announced recently that Deathsmiles will be released on steam March 10th
CAVE refers to this game as “Bullet-hell” and it is one of the more insane Shoot ’em up games I have seen.
Deathsmiles features 5 “angels” to play as and two player co op over 6 different game modes.
It’s great to see more console/arcade games ported to PC lately.
